Good evening - hope you had a good weekend.
For your blog post this week I would like you to summarise the news video you watched on the BBC web site. You should have been able to give what you saw some thought, as you made notes and discussed things with your classmates.
So please post the following:
- a summary of what the video news report was about
- your opinion of (or reaction to) the content of report and why you have this opinion
Please also post the LINK to the video, as I will ask all of you to go and look at other students' videos later in the week.
Thanks,
Richard

ReplyDeleteIt appeared that’s America isn’t the only country that suffers from the last Financial Crisis. Japan is affected as America and the employee began to be paid less 2/3 than before. The cars market is not too well at the mean time; too, Nissan Company is troubled because of the crisis. Despite the crowd of people and vehicles in the capital, Tokyo, whole of Japan suffers from crisis.
ReplyDeleteI think this Financial Crisis is just like a curse to the economy of the world, it’s 100% negative which leads many banks and corporations to bankruptcy. I myself think that employers in Japan will start to terminate their staff soon enough, but that will cause a negative reaction, increase of idleness. Japan should think of new sources for funds at the mean time to save itself from collapsing.
The video news report was about two nuclear submarines that they were contacted to each other at low speed. The person who confirmed the accident was First Sea Lord Sir Jonathon Band and he announced that the collision took place on Monday, 16th February 2009 in the Atlantic Ocean. The reason of the collision was because the two submarines were equipped with anti sonar devices that let the submarine unseen on the sonar radar, so they didn’t see each other. The good thing about this is they contacted to each other at low speed and there were no injuries. My reaction towards this report is it’s very neglect that the two submarines were going on the routine patrol with these anti sonar devices switched on, because they were carrying nuclear stuff, so have they considered what will happen if these nuclear stuff were damaged. I think next time they should be more aware when they do these routine patrols.

The video was talk about new art galleries in Madrid. Also Lourdes Fernandez is Director ARCO Madrid contemporary Art Fair talk about new creative arts and all special arts in this gallery and this gallery is better than last year. This gallery is find new creative arts in same place. Also all audience galleries are focus about Indian arts because they are amazing arts. Also exhibited galleries are concentrating about the finical dope and economy prices to explain more clearly about the situation in economy and business for example. In my opinion this gallery is good because they explain about economy and finical in new creative art. Also this gallery is motivate creative people for attract in this kind of gallery.

I have seen a video about a biggest mobile phone exhibition in the world in Barcelona. The reporter Rory Cellan was talk about the system of new mobile phones from iphon and apple and why people are used this kind of phones. The last update of this video was in Monday 16, 2, 2009. The reporter had an interview with Mike Kelly how’s works for Novatel wireless company and asked him about the system. Also, the reporter had another interview with Michael O’hara who’s a GPS Association and he asked him about why so many people come to this exhibition and why they are attracted. In my opinion, it’s a very wonderful showcase because it’s gives a lot of information about any kind of phones in that exhibition.
ReplyDeleteMobile Phone Showcase opening is the name of report that I looked at.
ReplyDeleteThis report is about the mobile phone exhibition which was held in Barcelona. It shows the software’s which had been added for the mobile phones recently such as the WIFI, maps and the games.
Personally, I adore these kinds of topics which talk about the devices and the applications of it. It’s something interesting for any one and it will make the life easier. Just have a mobile phone with entertainment things such as games and radio, the navigation system and the internet system like WIFI, you got everything.

HI FRIENDS,
ReplyDeleteToday I watched a video about Nelson Mandela. He is a great man in Africa. The video shows his 90th birthday party in Robben Island. It was on 18 July 2008. All African people were happy and they join him in his party. I saw a very big cake which had cut by him. There was also a record when he talked about his feeling. He was very happy because he still alive until now. I saw a girl read a love latter for him and he was smiling.
My opinion is that Nelson Mandela is a man called a peace man. He hates the wars and likes the peace. I think he will live more than 100 year because many people love him and he loves the people. He always helps the poor people around the world. I am really happy because Nelson Mandela is still alive to help more and more.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteToday I am going to talk about a short video that I saw yesterday. This video talks about “Japan economy in quarterly dive” the video is tells us about one lady her name is Mikako Shibaki which is a temporary worker in Japan. She tells us that lots of people lost their job because of the decline in the machinery sells .although that Tokyo city still crowded with people but lots of people without any job. People in the society afraid of this problem and some of them already fired without any warning. I think t hat this people is not only in Japan but it is worldwide but Japan is more suffer from this problem because it is industrial country and it depend on the sales of machines and cars . I hope that this problem solve all over the world.
Thanks a lot

Aeroplane accidents willn't stop suffering and the reaction of the neihbours is unfortunately fair of death or getting harms of it; that's what the talker said in the interview on BBC news. as an effect on the crash to the neihbours it's also effect to the weather as well as to the natural planets by the burning from the plane.
ReplyDeletein the recording; the accident was happening at night in a small town between the trees and the causes of it was falling.
I'm annoying that stuff like that still happening in many countries, and if I were him i'll do the same what he did trying to save what can be saved. I prefer doing checkpoints to each plane before it's takeoff and for the pilot as will .

Hi, the video I saw was about “neighbor reacts to Buffalo crash” when a teenager Sam Merlo saw a Flight 3407 Buffalo crash on top of his neighbor house. The accident was on February 12 and fifty people died in the crash in Upstate New York. He was telling the story when he went near the fire but he couldn’t because of the heat.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I didn’t like it because a lot of people died and it was a tragedy situation feel sorry for their families and loves. It makes me afraid of travelling on air.

ReplyDeleteYesterday, in the class we were looking at videos on BBC news site. Each student watched at different topics individually. The video i watched was about the weather in Australia (Sydney) on 22th October 2008. The name of the video “Freak weather strikes Australia”. The video showed what was the weather like in that day where the sky had electric strikes storm and it was raining. In addition, the ambulance vehicles were checking on the people at the neighborhood. Furthermore, at the end of the video there was snow falls. It was a good video and I enjoy it.

the video was Australian arson suspect named. It about fire that born in Australia. Unfortunately The 39-year-old was not in court to hear the judge lift the suppression order which kept his identity a secret. The reporter said that at least 189 people are now known to have died in the dozens of bushfires that swept Victoria earlier this month. Also Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has announced that a national day of mourning will be held on Sunday for all victims of the bushfires. Officials said that about 21 people were killed in the Churchill fire, but only 11 deaths were cited in court.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the government should put law that prevent people to born fire in any places.

Hi everybody,
ReplyDeleteI saw a wonderful short video about mobile phone showcase opening. It was an interesting video that was showing the smartest new devices. The reporter in this video made some interviews with famous people who knew about this advertisement such as, Mike Kelly and Michael O’Hara. They were talking in general about mobiles, iPhone and blogs on lap tops (USB modem). Finally, the report was all about application stores.
I think if you watch this video, you will like it.
I’ve seen in ((news.bbc.co.uk)) an interesting video. An 11 years old Mexican boy has killed six oxen in a single fight, and he become the world’s youngest matador to do the impossible action. It is really unavailable thing, he challenge strong animal. This is Mexican hobby but it harms the animal so I don’t like it.
